Middle East envoy Blair makes a point through choice of hotel

Tony Blair has settled into his mission as Middle East envoy, but has apparently already highlighted the divides between Israelis and Palestinians through his choice of hotel. The bar at his Jerusalem hotel, The American Colony, is, according to Jeremy Bowen, “one of the Middle East’s great crossroads. Israeli guests are still fairly rare.” It will be interesting to see how he fairs.
